Coming together to help those in need is what community is all about. It's what keeps all of us moving forward, and helping lift others helps to uplift everyone. September is National Hunger Action Month, meaning it's a great time to take care of those experiencing hunger in the community.

The Comfort Keepers® of Lubbock, Texas, is once again organizing their annual food drive. You can help seniors in the community dealing with hunger by participating in the Feed Seniors Now™ food drive! With your generosity, you can help support this noble cause and bring much-needed help to many seniors.

About Feed Seniors Now™

Nearly one in six senior citizens struggles with hunger every day. That means it likely affects someone close to you, such as a parent, grandparent, or neighbor. The Comfort Keepers®, experts in in-home care, have witnessed this firsthand. That's what led to the formation of the food drive, which directly benefits Lubbock Meals on Wheels programs.

Feed Seniors Now™ goes beyond simply feeding and helping area seniors. This campaign also spreads awareness of this ongoing concern that affects millions of older Americans. While these elders try to remain healthy and independent, hunger can be on ongoing concern. The drive helps to combat that with the help of caring people like you.

Get Involved

Many area healthcare organizations, businesses, churches, and more are already involved with the drive. They act as drop-off locations that help benefit the food drive. These places are accepting both food and monetary donations that will go directly to those in need.

The drive is open to all nonrefrigerated and nonperishable donations, though certain goods are especially needed. These are just some of the items that are used in Meals on Wheels Weekend Bags to help feed local seniors. The more bags filled by everyone, the better!
